A native of Washington DC, where he began his early dance training, Ervin received formal dance training at Duke Ellington High School for the Arts. He obtained a BFA in Jazz Dance/Theater Performance, from the University of the Arts, and received a Master’s Degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University. He studied at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater on fellowship, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Earl Mosley Institute of the Arts and Philadanco Dance Company. Ervin has performed on Holland America Line’s MS. Noordam and MS. Volendam. Ervin’s theater credits include the Hershey Lodge “A Chocolate Avenue Christmas”, DanceSpora Contemporary Dance Company and The Opera Company of Philadelphia “Carmen”. Ervin has performed works by Daniel Maloney, Ronen Koresh and Christopher Huggins to name a few. He has worked with vocal artist’s Jazmine Sullivan, and Jill Scott and has appeared on Power, The Detour, Blue Bloods, The Breaks and Law and Order SVU.
